How to Renew Bylaws:
1. Give your membership 30 days prior notice that your bylaws will be voted on at that general meeting.
2. Fill in the blanks of the Kentucky PTA Local Unit Bylaws Form (revised July 2011)
3. Make sure you have a quorum present at your next meeting and that your minutes state this.
4. Have your membership vote on the bylaws.
5. If approved, have your President and Secretary sign the last page. Then send in four copies of the bylaws and four copies of the minutes.
6. Finally, a Kentucky PTA Organizational Services Commissioner or the Kentucky PTA VP of Organizational Services will review your bylaws for approval. If there are any concerns, they will contact you.

Once the bylaws are received a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the local president. Local presidents should have an update on their bylaws within one month of having sent them to Kentucky PTA. If you have any questions concerning bylaws, please contact: kentuckypta@bellsouth.net
