Unity Day is November 21, 2011-Make sure your PTA/PTSA celebrates this year!
The purpose of Unity Day is to celebrate the differences that make us unique and contribute to what unites us. Unity Day is the Monday of Thanksgiving week and all PTAs/PTSAs are urged to work with their school and community to promote this special day.
Students were given squares of paper and encouraged to write something unique about themselves. The squares were connected to make a quilt which was hung in the front hallway with a banner "Watterson Had Unity Covered". The project showed that whatever makes us different unites us and shows us we are all unique in our own way.
